Homework is viewed in this School as a consolidation of the days work. However it has many other uses, among them being that it creates a link between home and school where parents can involve themselves in their children's education. It also has the added advantage of sustaining independent work, while at the same time encouraging discipline and routine in the child's home life.
Presentation
In this school context it is expected that Homework shall be given four nights of the week with weekends free. Homework is recorded in a homework notebook which will be signed on completion by the parent. In regard to completion of Homework the following contract arises between school and home.
1. That it is expected that all homework tasks be completed by the pupil.
2. That Homework be corrected by the teachers.
3. That any difficulties regarding homework will be communicated to the interested parties using the homework journal as a medium.
4. That pupils will experience success in completing homework tasks
5. That homework is an enjoyable experience for pupils and parents
6. That homework matches pupil abilities

10. Through SCP there is an After School club in the school where specific pupils are assisted with homework and developing further homework and study skills.
